Wolverine Behavior


The wolverine is a highly territorial animal. It is solitary, mainly nocturnal, and very aggressive. This animal is mainly terrestrial, it moves slowly and clumsily. But it is a very good climber and a powerful swimmer. The wolverine is considered a clever animal, like the wolf; but has a shy nature and it is seen extremely rarely in nature. Although it has a bad eyesight, the wolverine posseses a keen sense of hearing and smell. In order to mark its territory, the wolverine uses its scent glands. This animal is an opportunistic hunter and it is always hungry. The wolverine is omnivore, and mainly eats meat. It is a scavenger and eats anything it can find or kill. Its diet includes marmots, ground squirrels, beavers, fish, roots, and berries.
